Indus Crafts Foundation (ICF) performed consultancy services to Pahel Pakistan in Women Economic Empowerment Project by UN Women. The project focus was four trades: 1. Basketry, 2. Applique work, 3. Embroidery work & 4. Crochet Work. ICF trained 500 trainees by providing 20 trade specific Vocational trainings.
The main purpose of trade-specific vocational and technical training on Applique work is to enhance the vocational skills of Women Home-Based workers to make innovative products according to market requirements and improve the designing, finishing, and presentation of existing handicrafts produced under this trade.   
 Objectives of Training:
·         To enhance the existing Vocational Skills of Women Home-Based Workers
·         To provide practical training on making innovative handicraft products under the supervision of experts in their villages
·         To improve understanding of WHBWs about the importance of marketing and packaging and value addition in handicraft products
·         To provide exposure to the market to Women Home-Based Workers for improvement of the supply chain and value chain of products
